it was donated in 1944 and it includes about 2.400 bibliographic documents about different subjects in different languages (French, English and German), the history of Navy, Italian literature, linguistics, sociology and pedagogy, medicine, botany and zoology.
it was donated in the years 1969-1971 and it includes documents belonging to U.S.I.S. (United States Information Service). It contains about 2.350 monographs in order to promote American culture, especially translations of American texts.
