Consultation and reading
You may consult our texts in the reading room, filling in the request form at the distribution desk, Unit 3.
You are asked to give the texts back within Library's closing time.
You can also take your own texts with you for reading or studying in the Library reading room.

Antiquarian Collection - Unit 4
It is responsible for the material of its own competence, dealing with:
- manuscripts, parchments, engravings, historical photographs and on-line cataloging on SBN of printed books from XV Cent. to 1830
- on-line census of Italian EDIT 16
- restoration project
- material preservation control
For consultation and reading of:

- XVI Century editions
- Messinese editions till 18 th century
- Rare books
- Engravings
- Historical photographs
- Manuscripts
- Parchments
you must contact our staff, Unit 4.
Messano-Calabrese editions and S.S. Salvatore collection manuscripts are immediately available at the central seat of the Library, while almost all the other texts must be requested to distribution staff at least one day in advance, because of their different location.
